KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak will be officiating the 2021 World Chinese Economic Forum (WCEF), to be held on Monday (Dec 27).

The Pekan MP will be delivering a keynote address during the event, which will be held at Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya.

Najib’s keynote address is entitled “Building a community with a shared future for mankind”.

WCEF is a yearly one-day event which is organised to discuss the world’s future, with China leading the way.

This year’s event will see 250 delegates comprising government leaders, industry personalities and budding entrepreneurs discussing economic issues pertaining to the rising superpower.

Besides a session on the topic of employing multilateralism when tackling global crises, the occasion will also include discussions on China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The event, which will be held between 8am to 5pm, will be followed by a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony in the evening.

Najib is also expected to attend the gala dinner to present awards to several recipients.
