Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 render

With the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 – alongside the larger Fold variant –  expected to be unveiled during the next Unpacked event, it’s pretty much the kind of time you’d expect leaks regarding these devices to appear in droves. Naturally, serial industry leakster Steve H.McFly, also known as @OnLeaks, delivers on this expectation with renders of the clamshell foldable.

Shared to tech blog MediaPeanut, the renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 shows one major improvement over the previous model, which is a much larger outer display. This looks to continue a trend of upsizing these secondary screens that was set by the OPPO Find N2, and one that fellow upcoming foldable, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, seems to be following.

That being said, the renders suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 will be taking quite a different approach to the other two, in what can be considered a middle ground between them. The large display shoes a tab cutout or a corner notch to accommodate the two cameras on the top left corner. This still means a larger screen that will allow users to do more with it, potentially reducing the need to unfold the phone.

While the renders by @OnLeaks don’t come with measurements, MediaPeanut went ahead and included its own estimation of the device’s screen’s sizes. For the one on the outside, the blog claims to measure in at 3.4 inches, while the main one on the inside is said to be a familiar 6.-inch screen.

Of course, as none of these are official, these should be taken with a healthy pinch of salt. For what it’s worth, the wait until the next Unpacked event is rumoured to be a little shorter than usual, so we may see the real Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 sooner, alongside its official spec sheet.
