KOTA KINABALU: A 36-year-old injured woman climber was successfully brought down from Mount Kinabalu by the state Fire and Rescue Department’s Mountain Search and Rescue (Mosar) unit on Thursday (Dec 29).

A report came in at 10.20am informing that victim, Lenny Salamat, was injured at Kilometre 6.2 of Mt Kinabalu when she fell and hurt her right ankle.

“The Mosar team initiated early treatment and brought the victim down to Timpohon Gate (mountain entrance) using a Robertson stretcher.

“She was then sent over to the hospital for further treatment.

“The operation ended at 5.02pm,” said the department spokesman.
