SELANGOR Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (Pakatan Harapan-PKR) has pledged to give his earnings as a member of parliament to the Gombak residents fund if he is elected.

“I am contesting the Gombak parliament seat not for position or money but to bring about changes. I will not take the earnings but I want to form a special community fund for the people in the area,” he said at a press conference earlier this evening at Taman Samudra, Batu Caves here on Thursday (Nov 10).

Amirudin added that he would also get others to contribute to the fund.

“We will carefully use the fund for the constituents of Gombak,” he said

Amirudin also pledged to contribute 10,000 laptops to the people in Gombak.

Amirudin said he hoped to strengthen the Selangor Public Tuition Programme to helpstudents who dropped out during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Amirudin (PH-PKR) will face three-term Gombak MP Datuk Seri Azmin Ali (PN-Bersatu); Gombak Umno chief Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omar Din; Putra’s Datuk Dr Aziz Jamaludin Mhd Tahir and Independent candidate Zulkifli Ahmad, a retired engineer.
