PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has expressed his sincerest gratitude for all the support Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) had received over the past 30 years.

“Today I was invited by the Petaling Jaya Coffee Shop Association to attend the fundraising event for Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Hospital at Sun Hin Loong Restaurant in SS2, Petaling Jaya,” said the MCA president in a Facebook post.

“I am glad to see the effort put in to raise money for UTAR Hospital.

“What is worth mentioning is that our former party president Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik was also present at the event organised by the association for Tunku Abdul Rahman College some 30 years ago and he again attended today’s event.

“I believe many share Tun Ling’s passion and care for UTAR and TAR UMT, with their legacy of having trained so many for the country,” said Dr Wee, who is also the Transport Minister.

Also present were MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon, MCA Youth chief Datuk Nicole Wong and MCA veteran Tan Sri Dr Ting Chew Peh, among others.

Political secretary to the Prime Minister Chua Hock Kuan, MCA deputy organising secretary Leaw Kok Chan and leaders and representatives from the Petaling Jaya Coffee Shop Association were also present at the event.
