PETALING JAYA: Police have denied that there is a new investigation into former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as reported by several portals.

Federal CID director Comm Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hasan said the last time that Dr Mahathir was called by the police was on March 23 this year to help in the case relating to the book by the former Attorney-General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas.

“His statement was taken as a witness to reply on several points raised in the book ‘My Story: Justice in the Wilderness’,” he said in a statement on Monday (April 4).

The Parti Pejuang Tanah Air chairman had earlier said that he would be called up by the authorities to be investigated.

However, he did not state the reason behind the investigation.
