SEPANG: Police are tracing down a man who allegedly molested a woman in front of her daughter in a car park here.

Responding to a social media post, Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said that the incident occurred at 11am on Dec 21 in Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya.

“When the victim was walking to her car, an unidentified man came from behind, hugged and molested her. She screamed for help but no one was in the area.

“The suspect then ran away. The traumatised victim then phoned her husband for help,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 28).

ACP Wan Kamarul said that the victim could not provide a clear description of the suspect due to him wearing a face mask.

“He was wearing black pants at the time. No CCTV cameras were at the scene and we have instructed the car park supervisor to inspect all CCTVs there to determine if the suspect followed her while she was in Tamarind Square.

“We are still working on identifying the suspect,” he said.

The victim recounted her sexual assault on social media on Dec 21, where she said that she was molested in front of her two-year-old daughter.
