KUALA LUMPUR: The police have arrested five men linked to a recent robbery at a goldsmith’s shop at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the suspects aged between 29 and 49 were detained on Monday (March 28).

“We also seized 12 ankle bracelets and a motorcycle. We are in the midst of tracking down all stolen jewellery,” he said in a statement and added that the suspects will be remanded to assist with the investigation.

ACP Noor Dellhan urged those with information on the case to contact the Dang Wangi district police headquarters at 03-2600 2222, the KL police hotline at 03-2115 9999 or the nearest police station.

On March 23, a goldsmith at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman was robbed and the suspects escaped with about RM5,000 worth of loot.

No one was injured during the incident.
