SUBANG JAYA: The father of a teen actress has been arrested over allegations of sexually harassing his daughter.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the 43-year-old man was arrested at his home in Kedah at about 2.25pm on Tuesday (Sept 6).

“We also seized the suspect’s mobile phone for analysis.
“He has been remanded until Monday (Sept 12) for further investigation,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Sept 7).

The suspect also tested negative for drugs, he added.
On Monday (Sept 5), the 15-year-old actress lodged a report, alleging that her father sexually harassed her.

ACP Wan Azlan had said the police report stated that the victim was sexually harassed by her biological father.
“She also alleged that her welfare was neglected,” he said.
The complainant also alleged in her report that her father constantly played pornographic movies on his mobile phone for her to watch.
“She claims the incidents occurred between 2013 and 2017.
“The incidents allegedly occurred when she was six years old and living at Subang Jaya,” ACP Wan Azlan said, adding that the suspect allegedly sexually harassed the complainant while her mother was not at home.
The case was being investigated for neglecting a child and possession of pornographic material.
