PETALING JAYA: A man who correctly answered a question about Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on India’s version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” has netted over RM34,000.
A snippet of the Indian Hindi-language game show (Kaun Banega Crorepati), which is hosted by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, went viral on social media.
In the clip, Amitabh asks contestant Nipun Rajan, “In which country, in 2022, was Anwar Ibrahim elected as its prime minister?”
The options provided are Iraq, Malaysia, Bahrain and Indonesia.
Nipun correctly chooses Malaysia as the answer, which nets him 640,000 rupees (RM34,180).
According to a Wiki-fandom page for the game show, Nipun appeared in the Kaun Banega Crorepati episode which was aired on Dec 23.
He managed to answer 11 of the 17 questions and walked away with the 640,000 rupees after he failed to answer the 12th question.
The video made many Malaysians proud that the 10th Prime Minister was featured in the game show.
