QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd has appointed, has appointed Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim as its chairman with effect today.

Prior to this appointement, Jamaludin was with Axiata Group Bhd until he he retired on 31 Dec of last year.

In a statement released yesterday, Jamaludin said it is a great responsibility to be appointed chairman of QSR Brands, which is also the franchise owner of KFC restaurants in Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia. QSR Brands also owns the Pizza Hut restaurants’ franchise in Singapore.

“I look forward to partnering with the managing director Nehchal Khanna, the board and the team at QSR Brands to further transform and solidify our position as the leading food chain brand that is entrusted to feed the hearts and minds of Malaysians and our customers in the region,” Jamaludin said.

Jamaludin is also member of Malaysia’s Economic Action Council besides the country’s Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution Council.

“With over 40 years of experience, Jamaludin’s wealth of knowledge includes about 16 years in IT and 23 years in telecommunications, in addition to being involved in various capacities in the education sector,” QSR Brands said in its statement.
