On the 3rd day of Ramadhan, we come bearing good news. After a flurry of emails and calls requesting for an extension, we are officially extending the deadline for APPIES Malaysia 2021 to 28 April 2021.
The organising committee is doing this based on the heavy response from agencies that are keen to take part. As many are still racing to prepare their respective pitches, it seems appropriate to extend the deadline. This ensures all the agencies have ample time to be fully prepared to be at their very best.
So clear up your weekend to do the following:
1) Head on over to https://appies.com.my/
2) Scroll to the middle of the page to view the different award categories. Among the categories are:
- Best in Food & Beverage
- Best in Non-Food FMCG
- Best in Festive & Entertainment
- Best in Digital & Social
- Best in AdTech/MarTech
- Best in Consumer & Business Services
3) Then click on ‘enter now’ at the top right of the page and submit your best work based on the appropriate category.

Now in its fifth year, APPIES Malaysia is distinctly competitive with its 4-5-3 campaign presentation format. Each presentation begins with a 4-minute showreel video summarising the campaign, followed by a live 5-minute exposition of the campaign’s key highlights by the brand’s marketers/campaign creators. Then comes the interactive 3-minute session where each campaign will be cross-examined by a panel of judges.
Our panel of over 35 judges are made up of the the creatives leads from the industry and will be analysing each shortlisted campaign in a live judging event. Full service web agency, Thoughtbubble UK is partnering with APPIES 2021 and the agency which specialises in engineering awards platforms, is working with APPIES Malaysia to create a seamless experience for APPIES award submissions and online judging.
Similar to TED Talks, APPIES is the chance for great presenters with outstanding work to show it off to some of Malaysia’s most important industry leaders. Winners for APPIES 2021 will receive Gold, Silver or Bronze trophies for 10 brand new categories, and 7 special Best of Best categories (red trophies) that require no submissions.
