Details of INtel’s NUC X15 Laptops, also known as “Alder County”, have emerged, giving us a clearer picture of what the chipmaker’s reference laptops will be rocking. In this case, we’re looking at both a 12th generation Alder Lake CPU and ARC Alchemist laptop GPU.

The specs, which were posted by the serial leakster,188号 (@momomo_us), the NUC X15 will be available in two models. Both models will be rocking the same Core i7-12700H CPU but have different Arc GPUs. Specifically, one model will be fitted with an ARC A550M, while the other will be an A730M.

Unfortunately, there are no details of a NUC X15 model featuring the more powerful A770M, but given the modularity that the NUC laptops are somewhat designed for, it wouldn’t surprise us if Intel is keeping that particular card up its sleeves and saving it as a surprise.

Moving on, momomo’s tweet also says that both the NUC X15 laptops will come with 19.5V, 11.79A power adapter but no power cords, feature dual M.2 SSD slots, and come with both Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

The NUC X15 is just one of a handful of laptops on the market to feature Intel’s ARC discrete GPUs and more importantly, it is the first laptop series that actually showcases the more powerful A550M and the second with an A730M. We say second because the title for being first actually goes to a Chinese-made gaming laptop, which we reported on back in May.

Specs-wise, the A730M has 24 Xe Cores (3072 FP32 Cores), 12GB GDDR6 graphics memory, with a graphics clock of 1100MHz. Additional specifications of the mobile GPU include a 192-bit memory bus and an operational TDP between 80W and 120W. As for its performance, official reports from Intel suggest that the GPU is barely any faster than NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.

Earlier in the year, Intel also christened the existence of its ARC Mobile series GPU by making the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro, which features an entry-level A350M discrete GPU, although online reports are suggesting that it isn’t worth the asking price.
