You may recognise the name mainly as a graphics card brand but Colorful has other products under its wing as well. Aside from graphics cards, there are plenty of other Colorful products that you can officially purchase in Malaysia including motherboards, RAMs, solid state drives, and this – a gaming laptop.
While we are not sure when exactly the company had started releasing its gaming laptop on this side of the world but we do know that this Colorful X15-XS is not the first such release. Nevertheless, you can be rest assured that this is definitely the latest gaming laptop that they have for Malaysia since it is running on the reasonably new 12th Gen Intel Core i5 -12500H processor.
Alongside 16GB of RAM and 512GB solid state drive, the 2022 iteration of X15-XS has also been equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics. It also features a thermal solution called Storm Blade which utilizes two fans, and four copper heat pipes to cool down the laptop’s internal components.
As you may be able to guess from its name, the laptop also features a 15.6-inch screen which features an IPS display panel, Full HD native resolution, and 144Hz refresh rate. Colorful has also provided the 2022 X15-XS with a customisable RGB backlit keyboard complete with 1.8mm travel distance and N-key rollover capability.
In terms of its I/O port, looks like the laptop is pretty well equipped too as it includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports alongside a USB 3.2 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, Mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, microphone, and combo audio jack. For wireless networks, the 2022 X15-XS relies on the Intel AX211 module, which supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The 1.9kg laptop also carries a 54Whr battery although the company did not mention anything about its battery life. Available in Pine Blue and Mist Grey colourways, the new 2022 Colorful X15-XS can be obtained from Colorful’s official Lazada store as well as select dealers for RM3,899.
